from the heart…
“A local Rugby girl, I have over 35 years’ experience in print and digital media, advertising and marketing communications having worked for the Rugby Advertiser, Daventry Express, Northampton Chronicle & Echo, Marcus Publishing and Accord Holdings. With virtually no qualifications, I trained as a Graphic Designer, travelled America as a Nanny and went on to have a very successful and lucrative career in advertising sales, marketing and management through sheer graft and determination.
I was made redundant in 2009 from a large advertising agency in a big city and it changed my life totally. Who knew I’d be my own boss with a successful collection of local magazines in Rugby?
I absolutely love my life and I intend squeezing every little zesty drop out of it. Married for the last time to my best friend and funny guy, I have two sons, one is an Accountant in Newcastle and the youngest is a Groundworker. Our two Cockapoo boys Bruno and Alfie are just amazing and our dream is to spend our days travelling the world in Dolly Daydreamer our motorhome.
I launched Fresh Home & Living in April 2014 after realising a gap in the marketplace for a local magazine for advertising in Rugby – it went to press while my beloved mum (mimi) was fighting for her life in a local hospital after a ruptured brain aneurysm. She didn’t ever get to see the magazine but I know that she would have been so very proud.
